Goal #1: (Performance Standard 8): I will help maximize students learning by creating high exceptions. This will be created by providing individualized rigor for each student. This will be accomplished by creating new lessons task that have aligned rubrics for the standards.

 

 

Goal #2: (Performance Standard 9): I will collaborate with other teachers, during the book study The 7 Mind Sets. I will place value on other teachers’ perspective from the book and how to implement the mind sets into the classroom environment.

 

Goal #3: (Performance Standard 10): I will work on positively communicating with all parents of my students through different forms. These forms will range from daily notes home, using the Remind App to keep parents informed on information at the school, emails, and phone calls as well. I will also work to have positive relationships with the paraprofessionals that I am leading.

 

Rationale: Why did you choose this goal? How do you expect it to improve the outcomes of your future students?

The reason I chose this goal is because I feel like this should be something that I should strive for always as a teacher, especially in Special Education. This will have a positive outcome for my future students because it will make sure that I am preparing them to the best of their ability for the next grade.

I chose this goal because I believe that students can make great strides in their education and behavior if they have the right mindset. For my suture students this will help them will conquering things that are hard and with learning how to work well with others.

I chose this goal because I know it is very important especially in special education for parents to be kept informed of their student’s progress. The relationship I have with parents and my paraprofessionals will impact my students because if it is a positive relationship then people are more likely to worked harder for you and not question that you have the best intention for the students. 

End Date: By when do you expect to accomplish this goal?

I do not believe that there can be a set date on this goal. This something that I will always be working on because my students will always be changing, and I will always be looking for ways to give those students the best rigor.

I have finished reading the book. The students do a lesson on it every Friday and that will take until May to finish the lessons with the students.

This will be an ongoing goal. I will continue to grow in this goal by utilizing the most up to date technology and by using the best form of communication for individual students.

I have already taken steps towards this goal by using the learning continuum provided by my school to make sure students are be exposed to their right levels. I have also used the Georgia Standard of Excellence Frameworks lesson plan to help with aligning the best lesson with the standards that am teaching.

The steps I have taken is finishing the book so that I can help my students work in the mind set program.

I have talked about different apps with my mentor teacher that I can use to communicate with the parents. I have also talked with the special education coordinator at the county level about forms that can be used to communicate with parents on a daily basis.

Learning continuum provided by the school I work for and the Georgia Standards of Excellence website.

The 7-mind set book and the program provided by the school to help the students understand it.

The resources that I will use will be either the Remind App or Seesaw. I will also, use progress monitoring reports proved by the county, Teacher Pay Teachers, or something that I create myself.
